Solid rumors surfaced over the Labor Day Weekend that negotiations are underway -- or about to start this week -- for Holly Madison’s replacement in “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood when she leaves early this fall because she’s expecting her first baby in February.

Vegas DeLuxe learned last week that New York producers at BASE Entertainment had mulled invitations to Playboy beauty Jenny McCarthy and petite bombshell Carmen Electra -- another Playboy nude centerfold cover girl -- to possibly take over for 32-year-old Holly.

Now discussions on possible contract terms are moving forward, and there’s even the rumored possibility that Jenny and Carmen would alternate in limited-engagement runs.

Jenny, a 39-year-old actress and comedienne, first modeled nude for Playboy in 1993 and was later named Playmate of the Year. Carmen, 40, was featured in nude pictorials for Playboy in May 1996 and then was on the cover in December 2000, April 2003 and the 55th anniversary issue in January 2009.

It was only last Wednesday that Holly officially confirmed -- and sent me a Twitter message -- that she was 12 weeks pregnant. The blonde beauty, who has starred in “Peepshow” for the past four years, previously had revealed on May 31 that she would be leaving on Dec. 30 anyway.

Then in an exclusive interview with me that we posted on July 9, Holly said that she wanted to raise a family even if she didn’t get married.

“I’m not really too concerned about marriage right now. It’s more about having a family. Family to me is real, and being in a committed relationship is a bonus on top of that. I have that relationship now and am happier than I’ve ever been. It’s OK to have a baby even though I might not be married,” Holly told me.

Holly has been dating Electric Daisy Carnival founder Pasquale Rotella for the past nine months. Both have said they are “ joyous” over the pregnancy. However, there are some dark clouds hovering over the stork’s arrival.

It’s been reported that Pasquale, the CEO of Insomniac Events, is tangled up in legal issues over “areas of concern” by Las Vegas Metro Police over incidents at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the site of EDC the past two summers. There also is a Los Angeles indictment on multimillion-dollar charges of conspiracy, bribery and embezzlement at previous EDC events at the L.A. Coliseum and Sports Arena before the move to Las Vegas.

Pasquale and five others pleaded not guilty at a March indictment. When the case comes to trial, sources say that he could face a potential 13-year jail sentence.

Jenny and Carmen are regular Las Vegas visitors, and Carmen has previously stripped down to her lacy lingerie, going discreetly topless at “Crazy Horse Paris” at MGM Grand. That show is closing Oct. 1, as Vegas DeLuxe reported on Aug. 18. Jenny, newly single after her recent romance ended with Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, was here a few weeks ago hosting and partying at 1OAK in the Mirage but also made headlines partying previously at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in the Paris and Pure in Caesars Palace.
