Living Magazine publisher, business magnate and bestselling author Martha Stewart is raving about the wedding at Wynn Las Vegas this month for her niece Sophie Herbert and her betrothed Dan Slater. He proposed on Thanksgiving and was due here for an online symposium. When Sophie decided to attend, too, family and friends said why not marry here.

Martha flew in for the nuptials and enjoyed a four-day vacation at the same time with dinners at Le Cirque in the Bellagio and Andrea’s in Steve Wynn’s Encore and a visit to “Le Reve -- the Dream” at the Wynn. Martha had Darcy Miller, editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings, create an exciting plan with Wynn’s wedding planners.

Martha took photos for her blog and wrote, “It dawned on me that my Weddings magazine has never featured a Las Vegas wedding, so it was a fun idea. Rather than have a large and stressful wedding, why not just tie the knot in Vegas?

“It was a whirlwind couple of days. I have to thank everyone at Wynn for their gracious hospitality. Everything was perfect. It’s a great place for a wedding.”

Dan is the author of the bestseller “Love in the Time of Algorithms” about online dating. However, Sophie and he did not meet online!

TERRY FATOR’S RECORD: Singer and impressionist Terry Fator’s first DVD, “Live From Las Vegas,” has been certified by the Recording Industry Association of America as quadruple platinum; more than 400,000 units have been sold. “When we released the DVD, I had no idea how many it would sell,” Terry said. “I figured worst case it would be bought by immediate family, and I’d buy copies for the cast. This is really amazing.”

He’ll release a follow-up DVD, “Terry Fator: All Hits, No Lips” filmed in October. His new deal with The Mirage continues his headlining gig until at least 2016.
