Wicked Whispers and Racy Rumors! As celebrated magician Criss Angel plans the fifth anniversary of his Cirque du Soleil spectacular “Believe” at the Luxor, expect a big announcement before the end of the month. Meantime, our thanks to contributing photographer Tom Donoghue, who shot these incredible new promotional photographs of “Believe” for Criss.

Criss is completely silent on what we should expect and refuses to say what it involves -- but does confirm that it’s not connected with the continuing hit “Believe” that Extra has just ranked as the bestselling magic show in the world. The official announcement should be made Jan. 28.

However, I have learned that Criss is at work on a new opening of his magic show that has been named “the best in the world” by the BBC. And recently named Entertainer of the Year by Gaming Today, Criss says he’s adding music throughout the show and finishing a revolutionary levitation illusion.

“In all, three illusions will be added with a whole new look by the time the anniversary rolls around later this year,” said Criss, who has been named Magician of the Year six times and is still the youngest magician inducted into the Magic Hall of Fame. “That means over 40 illusions -- more than any other magic show in the world.”

Meantime, Vegas DeLuxe has the first exclusive preview of the new show commercial and promotional videos he directed and then edited at his Internet TV studio.

“2013 is off to a great start and with what’s coming will get even better,” Criss summed up. “I believe everybody will be thrilled when I reveal the big news at the end of the month. Sorry to keep you guessing, but it has to be disclosed officially, so even I can’t say a word until then!”
