Canadian songbird Celine Dion has had to cancel her performances at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace this week. She is under doctor’s orders to rest for seven consecutive days after fighting the flu last week -- similar to the illness I and thousands of others here have suffered. At least I was able to use the computer from the bedroom!

Celine developed a secondary sinusitis infection, and that has stalled her return to Caesars on Tuesday, which would have been the start of her final run of shows to wrap the second year of her residency contract. Her third year commences June 4, as previously reported here, with those tickets going on sale last Friday.

Doctors say the rest and antibiotics were necessary to ensure that her previously scheduled shows from Feb. 26 through March 16 can go ahead as planned. A full refund will be given to ticketholders for this week’s three canceled shows.
