Chippendales at The Rio dancers Jaymes Vaughan and James Davis, runners-up in Season 21 of CBS’ “The Amazing Race,” are hosting an “Amazing Race” slot players competition at the Palms on Sunday.

Five teams will compete on the new IGT video Amazing Race slots machines there in a variety of challenges. A $2,500 grand prize will go to the winner.

MAGIC ISLANDS: MGM Grand headliner David Copperfield turned up among the Super Bowl XLVII commercials during the CBS telecast in a tourism spot for the Bahamas. Named “King of Magic” by the Society of American Magicians, David’s chain of 11 private islands that make up Copperfield Bay are his palace.

His island paradise, featured as an Oprah Winfrey special last summer, was the focus of the commercial showcasing the destination that has drawn Penelope Cruz, Jim Carrey and Silicon Valley elite.

GRUDGE MATCH: Before Robert De Niro left the new Nobu restaurant at Caesars Palace on opening night, he told me that he would be flying back to Louisiana to complete filming on a Sylvester Stallone boxing film. The two stars are duking it out in the ring as old-timers anxious to settle the score with a grudge match. I wanted him to tell me who wins. “I’d like to know that myself! It’s being kept secret from me, too -- for now,” he replied.

BEYONCE’S L.V. DATE: Beyonce’s Mrs. Carter Show World Tour lands at MGM Grand on June 29, one night after the start of U.S. dates that run until Aug. 3, ending at her hubby Jay-Z’s hometown of Brooklyn. Beyonce’s tour announced during her Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show, starts in Eastern Europe on April 15 and runs through May 29 in Sweden. U.S. ticket sales begin Monday.

RUGBY ROYALS: For the next six days, the sports field action is all about the International Rugby Tournament at Sam Boyd Stadium, and the USA Sevens cheerleaders welcome the USA Eagles with a pep rally at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops on Wednesday. The Arbor View High drum line will welcome the players, and Glen Taylor Elementary’s student choir will lead a sing-along. The Jabbawockeez are performing Saturday and cast members of “Million Dollar Quartet” on Sunday.

The opening ceremony is Thursday when all 16 competing nations march along Fremont Street Experience, followed by the USA Sevens Block Party with DJs from Light Group nightclubs. The three-day fan fest runs Friday through Sunday in tandem with the tournament. The annual USA Sevens Tournament is the fifth event out of nine in the world series and the only North American stop. Teams from Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Kenya, New Zealand, Portugal, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, USA, Uruguay and Wales will play 45 matches.

SEXY SHOWGIRLS: The new, late-night, adult topless revue “Raack ‘n’ Roll has opened at The D Hotel. The dancers, dressed as everything from naughty nurses to tantalizing teachers, are choreographed by Anthony Cardella and Meeka Onstead, who is a dancer in sister show “X Burlesque” at the Flamingo.

Producers Angela and Matt Stabile welcomed D owner Derek Stevens on opening night with singer Frankie Scinta, which prompted rumors of The Scintas becoming one of the resident acts there. Adam London’s new comedy magic show “Laughternoon” starts Thursday at 4 p.m. daily.

UPDCOMING DATES: Chef Francois Payard hosts a live Facebook chat Wednesday at 4 p.m. to answer pastry and chocolate questions and offer Valentine’s Day dessert suggestions to promote the three-day Food University starting March 27 at Caesars Palace.

Restaurant Week will run one day longer than usual this second annual spring event from March 8-15.

The first date of Season 4 of Project Dinner Table events is April 20 and runs through Nov. 10 with as many as 200 guests at one long white-linen-draped table feasting on chefs delicacies in unique locations and raising money for local causes.

MLB legend Sammy Sosa will be awarded the International Senor of Distinction on May 4 at the Wynn when Gov. Brian Sandoval and his wife chair the Senoras of Excellence and Senores of Distinction gala to benefit the Latin Chamber of Commerce scholarship fund.
