Photos: Olympian Hope Solo parties with teammates at Chateau
By Don Chareunsy
Olympic soccer champion Hope Solo had at least two reasons to celebrate at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens in Paris Las Vegas on Friday night: her gold medal-winning performance at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, obviously, and the release of her first book, “Solo: A Memoir of Hope.”
Goalie Solo arrived on the red carpet with teammate Sydney Leroux; both athletes were dressed in BCBG Max Azria mini-cocktail dresses. Solo signed autographs for her fans waiting nearby before heading to her party at Chateau’s rooftop under the Eiffel Tower. Former teammate Tina Ellertson, her boyfriend and other friends joined the celebration.
The group enjoyed Dom Perignon Rose and Grey Goose cocktails before Solo and Leroux made their way to the DJ booth, where they surprised partygoers by throwing mini soccer balls into the crowd as the DJ yelled, “Give it up for USA gold medalist Olympian Hope Solo!” The ladies made their way back to the VIP table, where they dance until the early hours of the morning.
Our coverage of Solo’s book signing at nearby Sugar Factory on Friday afternoon was posted Saturday. Thanks to David Becker of WireImage for his photo gallery of Solo and her soccer sisters at Chateau.
