Phil Varone goes beneath the sheets of Las Vegas’ swingers scene
The real-life Las Vegas swingers scene of sex, partying and play dates set up on the Las Vegas-based website Kasidie.com is about to get full-blown exposure this week thanks to Phil Varone, rock legend turned adult moviemaker and one of the stars of the film.
The secrets beneath the sheets will be out in the open as of Tuesday when Phil’s reality TV-styled voyeuristic adult film “Vegas or Bust” is released online. It will be in adult stores nationwide next Tuesday.
Phil, a drummer for Skid Row and Saigon Kick, admits that he’s been a swinger for two decades. “Las Vegas is a mecca for swingers. Tons of swingers from all over the world visit, and their focus is on partying. The vibe is very laid back, and it’s easy to get into the 24-hour-a-day action.
“You would be amazed at the number of celebrities and politicians that I meet through swinging. Everyone is more relaxed in Vegas. We don’t know each other’s last names and keep everything anonymous. I’m one of the few who’s out in the open about it.”
Phil’s flick is the second of Vivid’s “Swinging American Style” series released by controversial porn prince Steven Hirsch, a regular Las Vegas visitor for AVN and other industry events who has been linked to E! Entertainment host Melissa Rivers, comedienne Joan Rivers’ daughter.
In “Vegas or Bust,” cameras focus on three Las Vegas swinging couples on a party bus going to a private masquerade ball. “It’s a rarely documented part of beneath-the-sheets Vegas portrayed by real swingers and not actors,” Phil said.
