It was a glamorous VIP opening-night party for Steve Wynn’s newest Italian restaurant Allegro at the Wynn, and wife Andrea Wynn and he flew from a St. Tropez yachting holiday to be there to welcome guests last week.

Among the Las Vegas VIPs at the soiree: Wynn President Marilyn Spiegel, who said a few words to guests; designer Roger Thomas; singers Pia Zadora, Clint Holmes and wife Kelly Clinton Holmes; former Gov. Bob Miller and his son Secretary of State Ross Miller, fresh off his MMA victory; Dennis Bono and Lorraine Hunt-Bono; restaurateurs Elizabeth Blau, Michael Morton and Jenna Morton; top executives Sandy Peltyn, Irwin Molasky, Frank Schreck, Marc Schorr and Janie Schorr; and Michael Severino of Southern Wines & Spirits.

Gregarious chef Enzo Febbraro hosted the party on his first-time move to Las Vegas for his 174-seat restaurant that serves dinner nightly until 10 and then an all-night late menu until 6 a.m.!

“I am pleased to be part of the team at Wynn and have the opportunity to put my signature touches on Allegro,” Enzo said. “The menu is an extension of my rustic, at-home cooking style. My goal is to create what I call an ‘Allegro state of mind’ so that all guests leave blissfully happy and satisfied from a fantastic meal.”

Enzo, who hails from Naples and graduated from culinary school in Italy at age 16, ran three acclaimed restaurants in Washington, D.C., and served President Clinton and President George W. Bush. He told me that his menu features heirloom recipes when he cooked alongside his grandmother and mother.
