Olympic champion Michael Phelps partied at XS in Steve Wynn’s Encore and even got behind the turntables with resident DJ Steve Aoki.

Superstar Shania Twain attended Sir Elton John’s “The Million-Dollar Piano” in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday night. The Canadian songbird begins her headliner residency there Dec. 1.

Actor Ed Helms of “The Office” and “The Hangover, Part III,” currently filming here, attended “The Beatles’ Love” by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage and posed with the cast backstage after the show.

Academy Award-winning actor and director Morgan Freeman dined at Old Homestead Steakhouse in Caesars in a party of 10 visiting from Mississippi. He ordered wild salmon and a bowl of rice, explaining that it was his customary side when eating salmon. After dinner, Morgan and his group attended “The Million-Dollar Piano.” Morgan also dined at nearby Joe’s Stone Crab while in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas headliner comedian David Spade and friends were in nearby seats at the Colosseum after dinner at nearby Wolfgang Puck’s Spago. Also at Spago, Austin “Chumlee” Russell of ”Pawn Stars” on a dinner date enjoying a filet and halibut.

Mac McAnally and Peter Mayer of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band dined at Terra Rossa in Red Rock Resort on Friday night and then checked out Nashville Unplugged at nearby Rocks Lounge.

NBA legend Michael Jordan and Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant separately were among the first to enjoy dinner at the new Mexican restaurant Javier’s in Aria. Michael confirmed that he’ll return to Aria with his 12th Annual Celebrity Golf Invitational for four days beginning April 4.

Lakers forward Metta World Peace was spotted at Tao in the Venetian, as were members of OneRepublic, who enjoyed sea bass, sushi, Buddha chicken, sake and cocktails.

NBA legend “Dr. J” Julius Erving was at Casa Fuente in the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace smoking an Ashton Maduro #60 cigar and sipping a glass of Taylor’s 30-year old Tawny Port -- a man with good taste!

Comedians and actors Ray Romano and Kevin James dined at Japonais in the Mirage in separate groups before their standup comedy act.

Adam Richman on recommendation from my food writer pal Al Mancini dined at chef Shawn McLain’s Sage in Aria.

Don Felder brought his hits and those from the Eagles to the Pearl at the Palms for a high-spirited, rockin’ performance.

Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA and martial artist Rick Yune celebrated the wrap of their new Quentin Tarantino film “Man With the Iron Fists” at Eli Roth’s Goretorium. After a tour, they hung out in the Baby Dolls Lounge until 3 a.m.

Heartthrob actor Zac Efron made a late-night stop at Marquee in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and comedian Carlos Mencia dined across the way from me at Tiffany Masters’ bucket list birthday party at STK in the Cosmopolitan.

Strip Scribbles: MGM to open its walls on the Strip so tourists can see into the casino; Reviv hangover spa opens next month

Hard on the heels of this morning’s announcement that MGM Resorts International and AEG have officially signed a $350 million deal for a new 20,000-seat arena stadium on the Strip comes word that MGM Grand will be taking down its walls! The front façade from the famous gold lion to the north end by M&M’s World is coming down.

Criss Angel survives 'the most dangerous and frightening thing I’ve ever done in my life'

For 10 nail-biting minutes, several thousand people stood in total silence and watched magician Criss Angel inch his way, blindfolded, across two steel beams swaying 50 feet in the air. This was no illusion for the “Believe” star. No tricks, nothing hidden, no sleight of hand or wizardry to divert attention. The "Mindfreak" star, who is shooting a new series of one-hour specials for Spike TV, was in full view of the audience members, who stopped shopping at the Fashion Show mall on the Strip.
