Strip Scribbles shockers: Sabrina Bryan exits ‘DWTS’; Guns N’ Roses

Even before they play the first note of their mini-residency tonight, Guns N’ Roses are in a controversy over an ad for their Hard Rock Hotel concerts at the Joint. Our Clark County commissioners are disturbed over what they say is “female violence” portrayed in posters. Named for their new album “Appetite for Democracy,” the ads feature a battered, disheveled woman with a torn dress exposing one breast and with her panties pulled down past her knees under the Welcome ... Photos: Blue Man Group shows no signs of turning gray at Monte Carlo

By John Katsilometes It was 13 years ago, almost to the day, that Blue Man Group was introduced to Las Vegas as a trio of muted performance artists wearing skullcaps, their heads and faces painted a gooey blue. The Luxor was the venue back then. The question was how this heretofore untested (at least on the Strip) performance-art troupe would fill a 1,200-seat theater. That’s not entirely accurate, actually. There was another question: What the hell is this? In one ... Read more...

Mike Tyson turns a page — for real — with a brand new book deal

By John Katsilometes Mike Tyson’s life would make a great book. Let’s rephrase that. Mike Tyson’s life will make a great book. At the risk of pre-reviewing a tome not due until next summer, Tyson will doubtless stuff his upcoming “Undisputed Truth” (to be published by Blue Rider Press, a subsidiary of Penguin Group) with plenty of compelling material.
