Controversial “Top Chef Seattle” cheftestant Carla Pellegrino is back in the spotlight with our preview for tonight’s Episode 4 with its dreaded double-elimination on Bravo. Butchery is king as two giant slabs of beef on meat hooks await the chefs for this week’s Quickfire Challenge.
For the Elimination Challenge, the chefs go back in time as they’re tasked with re-creating a 1950s menu from one of the best restaurants in the country. Push comes to shove in the kitchen as the chefs serve up the classics while trying to save themselves from elimination.
Chefs Emeril Lagasse and Hugh Acheson join head judge Tom Colicchio and host Padma Lakshmi. Carla is still the ratings star, but tonight with injured hand and teamed with chef Josie, who ruined last week’s Thanksgiving, will she be ordered to “pack her knives and go home” or move onward.

We’ll post a recap with results on Thursday. Meantime, Carla celebrated the official grand opening of her Meatball Spot in Town Square on Monday night with a VIP party featuring a menu of meatball sliders, pizzas, salads, Las Vegas Distillery cocktails, Jell-O shots and desserts.
Guests included chef Rick Moonen (RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay), Stratosphere headliner singer-songwriter and musician Frankie Moreno, Tropicana headliner magician Murray Sawchuck and his wife, “Fantasy” at the Luxor star Chloe Crawford.
