Reality TV star Kim Kardashian still believes in love despite the bust-up of her 75-day marriage to New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries, but as she hosted her New Year’s Eve party at Tao in the Venetian on Saturday night, she revealed that she learned a lot about herself in 2011.

“In the end, you have to trust your gut,” she said bluntly, summing up the end of the brief union. Kim hosted for the second consecutive year at Tao, while Samantha Ronson manned the DJ booth at the neighboring sister nightclub Lavo in the Palazzo.

“I am ready to move forward and not look back. I learned a lot about myself this past year, and at the end of the day, you always have to trust your gut,” Kim said. “You've got to believe in love. I still do.”

“It’s a tradition to ring in the New Year here at Tao!” said Kim, ready to celebrate the arrival of 2012 at her favorite Las Vegas nightclub. Fans flocked to the red carpet where Kim showed off pin-straight hair and new bangs to go with her white, Gucci long-sleeve mini dress, Loren jewels and Christian Louboutin heels.

As she'd previously told Vegas DeLuxe, she brought along her mother Kris Jenner, who donned Dolce & Gabbana with a bowtie and a Judith Leiber penguin clutch. Also joining the group: her “Dancing With the Stars” pro partner Mark Ballas, Carla DiBello and other close friends. Kim greeted the crowd, posed for photographs and wished revelers a Happy New Year before heading to dinner in the private dining room at Tao, where she toasted her friends with a Midori cocktail.

After dinner, they made their way to the nightclub where Kim danced and sang along to a Britney Spears song, and then her mom had DJ Ross One surprise the NYE partygoers with Kim’s song “Jam.” As midnight drew closer, Kim took to the stage and told the crowd, “I am so excited and can’t wait for 2012 to come. Count down with me!”

As they welcomed 2012, Kris Jenner and Mark stole the show with their dance moves as Mark dipped Kris and spun her around. He followed that up with a hip-hop lesson that thrilled Kim as she watched. Singer Natasha Bedingfield also celebrated at Tao.

At Lavo, Samantha provided the beats and was on the mic and hyped the crowd as the clock struck 12. She led the crowd with a high-energy set and kept telling clubgoers to “get your glow sticks in the air!” She was joined by girlfriend Erin Foster, who stayed with her in the DJ booth all night.

Also at Lavo: “The Wire” star J.D. Williams and Margot Robbie of ABC’s “Pan Am,” who celebrated her first time in Las Vegas with a group of Australian girlfriends from high school. She danced the night away on a banquette.
