Photos: John Legend and T-Pain light up Las Vegas at 1 OAK
By Don Chareunsy
Singer John Legend and rapper T-Pain were the star attractions of the inaugural Light Up Las Vegas benefiting the UC San Diego Nevada Cancer Institute on Sunday night at the new 1 OAK Las Vegas at the Mirage.
Grammy winner Legend, who also appeared at the Keep Memory Alive “Power of Love Gala” tribute to Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday Saturday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena and whose fiancee, model Chrissy Teigen, was in town last week for the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue events, performed a three-song set.
When T-Pain took the stage, he stayed in the spotlight for nearly an hour, pleasing the crowd with his hits “Black & Yellow” and “All I Do Is Win,” among others. Partygoers, including 1 OAK co-owners Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva and Managing Partner Eli Pacino, were on their feet dancing and partying until the early hours of this morning.
Proceeds and ticket sales from “Light Up Las Vegas” were donated to charity.
