A series of live events with the Women of Wrestling is to be staged starting in January for global TV distribution. The ring battles presented in concert with lighting, pyrotechnics, music and videos will star 30 WOW Superheroes at Eastside Cannery. Nevada’s own Caged Heat, Delta Lotta Pain and Loca, who say they’ve done hard time in state prison, will battle in a tag-team championship match, plus, there’s a bout with Jungle Grrrl.

L.A. Lakers owner Jeanie Buss has teamed with Las Vegas executive producer Rand Capp for the entertainment series. “With our real-life superheroes settling their conflicts at each live event as thousands of fans participate in the drama, every one will be outrageously exciting” Jeanie said. “ These are all empowered female comic book characters.”

A DOZEN WEDDINGS: The 12-12-12 wedding ceremony overload went off without a hitch, nowhere more so than when the D downtown hotel hosted 12 newlywed couples. It was cake, champagne, overnight accommodations and, oddly, free tickets to “Marriage Can Be Murder,” where the couples became the interactive suspects.

NYE FIREWORKS: It’s confirmed that seven Strip hotels will turn over their rooftops for this year’s Fireworks By Grucci “America’s Party” to ring in the New Year. From the south heading north, entertainment and fireworks will be located at MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, Venetian and Stratosphere.
