Cowboy champion Trevor Brazile didn’t let the glitz and glamour of the 2012 American Country Awards faze him. He went from his presenter duties at Mandalay Bay Events Center right into the heat of the 2012 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo ring at the Thomas & Mack Center, where he clinched his 10th all-around title, placing 3rd in team roping with partner Patrick Smith.

That means that he’s won 10 of the past 11 world titles -- and gold buckles -- including seven of those consecutively. In all, Trevor’s 17th career gold is just one shy of the all-time record held by Guy Allen, who won 18 steer-roping championships.

It also sets him up for victory at Saturday’s closing event because he’s earned $285,000, a big lead over nearest rival Bobby Mote at $146,000. Today, Trevor, from Decatur, Texas, will join more than 17 world champion cowboys and cowgirls at an all-star autograph session in the MGM Grand lobby.

Criss Angel survives 'the most dangerous and frightening thing I’ve ever done in my life'

June 18, 2013 • 2:25 p.m.

For 10 nail-biting minutes, several thousand people stood in total silence and watched magician Criss Angel inch his way, blindfolded, across two steel beams swaying 50 feet in the air. This was no illusion for the “Believe” star. No tricks, nothing hidden, no sleight of hand or wizardry to divert attention. The "Mindfreak" star, who is shooting a new series of one-hour specials for Spike TV, was in full view of the audience members, who stopped shopping at the Fashion Show mall on the Strip.
