The 2012 Las Vegas Housekeeping Olympics took over Mandalay Bay Events Center on Wednesday, and contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was onsite for his fabulous photo gallery capturing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

Donoghue reports: “There was bed making, mop racing, a vacuum race, a buffer pad toss and spirited performances. Sixteen Las Vegas hotels competed, with the Wynn and Encore taking the gold.”

“The energy level was that of a concert there at Mandalay Bay!”

Lorena Peril of “Fantasy” at the Luxor and cast members from Thunder From Down Under at the Excalibur added sex appeal to the event.

Speaking of concerts, music superstars Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias take center stage and hit the floor at Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday night with opening act Frankie J.
