Photos: Bret Michaels of Poison rocks Fremont Street Experience
By Don Chareunsy
Rocker Bret Michaels, the lead singer of 1980s hair band Poison (“Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Nothin’ But a Good Time,” “Talk Dirty to Me” “Unskinny Bop”), performed a free concert Saturday night at downtown’s Fremont Street Experience as part of his “Get Your Rock On Tour 2012” and the continuing Rock of Vegas Summer Concert Series.
Michaels in recent years has battled a brain hemorrhage and heart ailments, won Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice 3” on NBC (and $640,000 for the American Diabetes Association as the champion) and co-hosted the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant at Mandalay Bay.
Michaels and longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson called off their engagement in the last week. Thanks to Scott Harrison for his photo gallery of Michaels, who can still rock a pair of tight blue jeans and a bandana with the best of them.
Unskinny bop, just blows me away, unskinny bop, bop, all night and day.
