Strip Scribbles: Zak Bagans’ Paranormal Challenge begins Friday
Hometown hero Zak Bagans, lead investigator on the hit Travel Channel series Ghost Adventures, has developed a second reality TV series dealing with the paranormal that debuts Friday on The Travel Channel. Paranormal Challenge features two teams of ghost hunters -- professional paranormal investigators -- located in a haunted house competing in a four-hour countdown challenge to gather the most evidence of a bizarre activity.
Zak told me: “They are professional paranormal teams from across the country who we carefully selected and screened. They have many investigations under the belt, albeit pro or amateur, ghosts can make anybody scream and panic, and we've definitely seen it! So far, everyone has made it through the entire clock. However, we just don’t know if anything’s followed the teams home yet, but for real, that often happens!”
Call that a boot camp sleepover with a frightening difference!
Wicked Whispers & Racy Rumors
Seems that Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., isn’t the only person sending out juvenile and stupid photos of his anatomy. The moronic behavior has spread here, although not from politicos -- thankfully. We know of at least one date-around princess of pulchritude who was sent racy sexting photos. What were they thinking? … Those plans members of the Michael Jackson family had for a monument, museum and theater in his hometown of Gary, Ind., seem to have come to a crashing halt a year after the initial announcement. City officials there say Joe Jackson’s hopes are now dead. The $300 million megaplex hasn’t raised sufficient funds to even get it off the drawing board. More troubling King of Pop news: Lloyds of London has asked a British judge to nullify the $17.5 million liability policy held by AEG as a result of the superstar’s death. Lloyds says AEG never provided necessary medical information and advance details about Dr. Conrad Murray, who is charged in the death. The insurance was issued just 2 months before Michael’s death. The Lloyds lawsuit claims AEG should have informed them about his apparent prescription drug use and/or addiction! … Collection agencies are battling to find assets of a showbiz couple here who abruptly left town as their show ran out of funds, and to add to the gall, there are rumors that they are still trying to return here to restage it at another hotel showroom where a similar act has moved out.
