Call it the Saturday Smackdown! And the winner is … ?

Best friends and former The Girls Next Door reality TV co-stars Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett found themselves tough (but really friendly) rivals yesterday competing for fans and photographers at double-duty events in Las Vegas.

Happy Birthday greetings to Kendra for her 26th, and big congratulations to Holly on the publication of her debut book The Showgirl Next Door. Both beautiful blonds had competing and simultaneous daytime and nighttime celebrations on the Strip.

Holly had a book signing for fans at Sugar Factory at the Paris, where some fans had waited in line for more than four hours to get an autographed copy. Thanks to videographer Richard Corey for his YouTube videos of the excited fans.

Directly across The Strip, photographer Erik Kabik captured the excitement of Kendra’s daytime 26th birthday bash at Venus Pool Club at Caesars Palace. Kendra, NFL star husband Hank Baskett and their friends shared an incredible cake celebration incidentally made by my assistant Carla Marrow, who might now toss away her budding communications career in favor of playing popular pastry chef!

Last night, again simultaneously at midnight, Kendra was the toast of the town at Pure at Caesars Palace, while Holly grabbed the spotlight at Gallery Nightclub at Planet Hollywood to celebrate the book’s official launch.

It was neck-and-neck between the battling beauties, but in the end, we handed the victory to hometown heroine Holly. We just couldn’t let an out-of-towner walk away champion, so it’s an acknowledgment for all the great things Holly does for our town that we give her the victory! (And we love Kendra, too!)
