Celebrity preview: Kendra vs. Holly; Sir Paul at MGM; comedy kings
Blond bombshells Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson Baskett are best buddies from their E! Entertainment reality TV series The Girls Next Door, as Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriends, and its offshoots Kendra and Holly’s World. But this weekend, they are (playfully) competing with each other for the spotlight with parties that’ll have photographers racing across town to get shots of both beauties.
The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney flew in Wednesday on a three-day whirlwind visit that began with the fifth-anniversary celebrations of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage -- our coverage included incredible photographs from the star-studded red carpet. Last night, Sir Paul performed a private concert for a computer convention here, and tonight he wraps up his visit with a highly anticipated concert at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
It’s a busy weekend of continuing 2011 World Series of Poker play at the Rio, plus a marvelous mix of music, comedy and those now seemingly never-ending weekend celebrity parties -- and there’s also quarter-century CNN veteran Larry King trading his talk show host chair to perform stand-up and storytelling from his amazing life experiences.
Time for us to adjust the mic, pull up our suspenders, and we’re on the air with a list of celebrity appearances and VIP parties that make up our weekly Royal Robin Rundown:

Peepshow headliner Holly Madison is on double duty promoting her new Las Vegas-themed book The Showgirl Next Door at Sugar Factory American Brasserie and then returning after dark (and after her Planet Hollywood show) to Gallery, while Kendra Wilkinson Baskett celebrates her 26th birthday by day at Venus Pool Club at Caesars Palace and then by night at the casino resort’s Pure.
