Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z didn’t make his Las Vegas visit a one-night stand. After his sold-out Watch the Throne tour stop with Kanye West at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday night, he wanted another epic night at Tao in the Venetian, so he threw an after after-party for fans wanting more last night, and Al Powers was on duty for a photo gallery of the celebration.
Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce attended Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” at Mandalay Bay Events Center last night, as we reported earlier today, and then it was bedtime for the pregnant and radiant superstar. Jay-Z made his way to the hotspot, and with a shout-out from DJ Ross One, the crowd erupted upon his arrival.

Jay-Z commandeered a VIP table on the dance floor with a group of friends. A six-piece marching band traveled through the crowd to his table, where they launched into the intro of his hit “N*ggas in Paris.” The party marched on with Jay-Z holding court past 3 a.m. as Tao’s bottle fairy delivered a seemingly endless supply of Ace of Spades champagne.
Jay-Z stopped in the DJ booth to thank Ross One before his departure. Also at Tao: singer Jeremih. Earlier, Olympic and “Dancing With the Stars” champion Apolo Anton Ohno partied at sister nightclub Lavo’s Champagne Brunch in the adjoining Palazzo and enjoyed a surprise set by the E.C. Twins. “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams also was at Tao, while Jaleel White of “Family Matters” fame (Steve Urkel!) partied at sister hotspot Marquee in the Cosmopolitan.
