Donald Trump in town for exploration speech, Steve Wynn’s wedding
Hard on the heels of criticism from former Caesars Palace headliner Cher and Las Vegas visitor Bill Maher, presumed presidential hopeful Donald Trump returns to the Strip tonight. The real estate titan and Celebrity Apprentice host will stay at his Trump International Hotel, and he’s managed to include good pal Steve Wynn’s wedding festivities into his schedule.
The highlight of the visit is the eagerly awaited speech to members of the Clark County and Las Vegas Republican parties. It takes place at 7 p.m. in a ballroom at Treasure Island owned by his good friend billionaire Phil Ruffin. The Donald’s speech is expected to include remarks about how he “forced” President Obama’s release yesterday of the controversial state of Hawaii long-form birth certificate.

His claims of success about the birther issue prompted tweets through the night from his fans and detractors, including Cher and Bill. Donald says he will announce his decision for a firm run or no-run date on the final episode of this season’s Celebrity Apprentice on NBC.
He stays on for the first night of Steve Wynn’s three days of wedding festivities, with fiancee Andrea Hissom attending tomorrow night’s white-fashion-wear-only pool party. Then Trump and wife Melania depart Saturday for his appearance at The White House Correspondents Dinner.
