Holly’s World and now Peepshow starlet Angel Porrino debuted in the Planet Hollywood topless burlesque revue last night, and her premiere was a success by all accounts -- in this case, the show, the makeup artist and the star herself.
Angel, who is guest starring for Holly Madison as Bo Peep through Sunday while Holly is on vacation, tweeted last night leading up to and then after her performance:
“Countin’ down the minutes till I take the stage for Peepshow!!! Thanks for all the good luck wishes, guys!!!! MWAH!!”
“The show went AWESOME tonight!! … Had a wardrobe malfunction, and I almost ate it once ... but I had a BLAST!!!!! (cont)”
“Thanks @Joshuajstrick and @CheazaCheaza and all the hotties in Peepshow for a fun night and great energy!! P.S. Happy Birthday @CheazaCheaza.” (Angel’s thank you tweets are directed to co-stars Josh Strickland and Cheaza.)
And from Peepshow on Twitter: “Angel Porrino killed it tonight as Bo Peep. ... See her now through Sept. 19 only!”

Angel told Vegas DeLuxe over her first coffee this morning after our story was first posted: “It all went really well -- except for the wardrobe malfunctions. In the spider dance number, I didn’t change costume fast enough, so I didn’t buckle my shoe, and the strap was dangling. My bra wasn’t hooked up properly, so it came halfway off and one boob popped out, and my rigged shirt became unsnapped, so that was also halfway off.
“Tonight, I’ll have to be much faster in changing and avoid those problems. I almost fell on somebody during the bathtub scene slipping on the splashed water, so tonight I’ll have to remember how to not step in that.
“Going topless with the audience was more terrifying thinking of it than doing it, and fortunately because I was dancing while going topless made it feel more comfortable. It was easier to go topless while dancing. If I’d not been moving, I don't know if we would have pulled it off!
“I’m so glad the audience loved me -- and I’m so thankful everybody said I did really well. Holly was the first to text me the split second I came off stage. We wound up texting each other all night. She was thrilled it had worked out as she planned it all. She was proud of me. Holly’s just sad she’s not going to see me in the actual show while she’s off on vacation.”
Angel told me that her parents and brother will see the show Thursday night -- as will our Editor Don Chareunsy -- when everything’s working perfectly. “However, my boyfriend won’t be coming in from L.A.,” she said. “He’s so busy with work there, so that’s a real bummer. We’ll see what happens with that because you know life changes in an instant.”
Makeup maestro Rain Andreani, who did Angel’s beauty look for the show, told me: “Angel was incredible -- she is a complete natural onstage. She had fun right from the start hanging upside down from the ceiling and landing on the stage, right to the end of the show where she threw off her top. She looked really good shaking her butt all over the stage in her nude-looking, sparkly, string bikini bottom.”
Planet Hollywood’s box office reported that the show was a complete sell-out and packed with double the amount of ticket sales a year ago. “She did really well for us,” I was told. Angel told Vegas DeLuxe in a previous interview that she was nervous about going topless.
Holly Madison and Laura Croft in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Holly Madison at the Little Zoo That Could in Alabama where she's making a $20,000 donation on Sept. 14, 2010.
While Angel holds down the fort at Peepshow, Holly and her Holly’s World castmate Laura Croft are in Gulf Shores, Ala., using part of their vacation volunteering to help in the oil-spill cleanup there. They were up bright and early this morning to staple fine plastic sheeting to the oil booms, and then they went out into the waters to lower them and capture tar balls. Today's itinerary also includes Holly making a $20,000 donation at the Little Zoo That Could in Alabama.
We’ll have a full first-hand account from Holly about her adventures there right here at Vegas DeLuxe tomorrow.
