Photos: Hef talks marriage at Claire Sinclair’s Crazy Horse Paris debut

Love was certainly in the air last night when Playboy founder Hugh Hefner arrived for the premiere of Miss October Claire Sinclair in Crazy Horse Paris at MGM Grand. First, he told me he was moving “closer and closer” toward marriage to December 2009 Playmate Crystal Harris. “Stay tuned. It’ll be sooner than later, and sooner than you think,” he laughed.

Pinning down Hef on an exact date is an elusive task, and he and I always laugh when I gently push him to be more specific. But talking candidly about his 24-year-old girlfriend, he added: “She’s the Real McCoy. She’s the real deal. She is the major factor in my life. I certainly love her enough to get married, but I don’t want to screw this up. It’s too important and too special. It also keeps on getting better.

“We are having such a great time. We both believe we have found somebody special. I certainly know I have. I don’t want to do anything that might change that. It’s really beautiful to have found this. Yes, Robin, its love; it’s the real thing. You couldn’t ask for a better partner. She has absolutely everything you could ask for.”

Purred Crystal: “He is so sweet. I really do love him. We have so many beautiful things going on in our lives. Neither of us could be happier than being together at the Mansion. If he said we’re getting closer and closer, I’m not going to add any comment to that except to say we’ll see what happens. And if it does, I know we will both be very happy.”

His son Marston Hefner said: “I want him to be happy. They are absolutely great together. He’s really fallen in love, and she genuinely loves him, too. If marriage makes him happier and that adds to his life, that would be great. Crystal would become my stepmother, and I couldn’t ask for anybody better.”

Marston is dating Miss October dancer Claire, and as they kissed, then posed for contributing photographer Tom Donoghue, he told me: “It’s love. We really love each other. She’s got a dual personality: She’s smart, hard working and also very beautiful. I have no problem with her taking her clothes off for the magazine or for Crazy Horse. She’s too beautiful to hide. It feels great to know she’s my girlfriend and that everybody else would like to be her boyfriend -- but I have that honor.”

Clare won raves for her three dance numbers. The first was “Lips,” where she gyrated over a red lip-shaped couch dressed in barely there black sexy lingerie, stockings and a garter belt. The second was “Upside Down,” where she performed a remarkable routine balanced on a wall of mirrors so the audience got double images for double the pleasure and fun. In the “You Turn Me On” finale, she doffed her clothes to perform topless, but because of contractual and age restrictions, she kept on her tasteful black pasties. Playboy readers who marveled at her curvy charms agreed that the audience saw 98 percent of the fabulous form she displayed for the current centerfold. She headlines in the show through Thursday.

Peepshow star Holly Madison, her best girlfriend in Las Vegas, told me at the Tabu Ultra Lounge pre-show red carpet: “She is not only a beautiful girl. She’s only 19 and remarkably smart, really energetic, really special -- a quirky, fun person with an amazing personality. She’s going to go a long way. Those qualities make up the It factor, and Clare is definitely an It Girl. I saw her rehearsing and her final dress rehearsal, and she’s fantastic.

“But being honest, I am jealous of her boobs -- hers are real! I’ve always loved the Crazy Horse show. It was always my inspiration that got me to think about going onstage in the first place.”

Knowing that Holly had joined Hef’s current girlfriend Crystal Harris at the Hugh Hefner Playboy Suite in the Fantasy Tower of the Palms and then for dinner with the group at Michael Mina’s Nobhill Tavern in MGM Grand before the show, I asked if there were any jealous moments.

“I know you all think of girls tearing each other’s hair out, but there’s no jealousy between us Playmates,” she said. “When I was working at the Playboy Studios for two years, I was always looking for the next Playmate. I always tried my best to make them look beautiful and unique. All of us are supportive of each other, and it’s a good quality. More people should be like that and supportive of other women.”

Hef told me: “There’s no jealousy between Holly, Crystal or the others. In fact, they really all look out for each other. It’s a good quality that we look for and encourage. These girls are confident with their own successes and want the best for each other. They really are good to and for one another.“

Hef and Crystal also brought January 2011 centerfold Anna Sophie Berglund along for the trip -- and her first mass hysteria publicity exposure. Crystal told me that Anna’s a budding Hollywood actress: “As a result, we created a special layout to bring back memories of Jean Harlow. Pamela Anderson will be on the cover. She’s been shooting at the Mansion, and the sexy Italian movie La Dolce Vita is the inspiration for her layout.”

Hef’s brother Keith joined the festivities, along with Hef’s other son Cooper with girlfriend Samantha Crawley. Hef’s longtime assistant Mary O’Connor was there, and all of the family and inner circle love Crystal and have given their blessing if she becomes the future Mrs. Hefner.
