The Mirage headliner Terry Fator’s divorce became final Nov. 2, and less than 24 hours later, his girlfriend of 18 months, Taylor Makakoa, and he tied the knot with their mothers present and giving their blessings. This past Sunday, again with their mothers in attendance, Terry and Taylor made it official with a Hawaiian ceremony, and Vegas DeLuxe just received a photograph from the special day.
Terry and Taylor wed at the Ko Olina Marriott in Ko Olina on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Hawaiian wedding ceremony was presided by a Hawaiian minster, and a guitar player performed a Hawaiian song. A brunch with traditional Hawaiian foods was held for family yesterday.Terry and Taylor spoke with Vegas DeLuxe last week, and we posted a story Friday afternoon shortly afterward. Terry said, “We simply couldn’t wait anymore. Obviously, we’d talked about it before, but Wednesday morning, I just said, “We’re now able to marry, so let’s just go get married, and so we dragged ourselves right down to the wedding chapel with our mothers. They are both very happy for us getting married. They approve and blessed us.”
Terry candidly admitted: “We are looking forward to having children together and building a family and future here in Las Vegas.”
David Saxe and Oscar Goodman.
*Producer David Saxe unveils the ambitious musical Liberace: Music & Memories starting today at Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile. It’s the only “officially licensed” Liberace show in the world. One of the most incredible parts of the production is the 3-plus hours it takes to apply star Wayland Pickard’s makeup to make him look like the late great entertainer. The makeup that transforms him into Mr. Showmanship was designed by Academy Award-winning artist Kevin Haney.
David pointed out: “This is not a tribute show. It’s a full-out stage production complete with storyline. Now that it’s up and running, a portion of ticket sales and merchandise sales will support The Liberace Foundation’s scholarship fund.
Audiences who saw two sneak previews recently said Wayland tickles the ivories as well as Liberace did and brings to life the same sparkle and flare the legend had to make the connection with his audiences. He performs well-known classical music, Broadway hits and pop standards in the new entertainment spectacular. This is the third show now that Saxe has opened at his new theater.
Cher.
*Caesars Palace headliner Cher received a Lifetime Achievement Award last night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York. Guests included Hilary Swank, Kelly Osbourne and Janet Jackson.
