Former Phantom -- Las Vegas Spectacular star Sierra Boggess is all set to become the toast of the town tonight in London when the curtain rises for the long-awaited and much-anticipated world premiere of Love Never Dies, the sequel to the blockbuster musical The Phantom of the Opera.

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber opens his newest production at the Adelphi Theater with Ramin Karimloo as the masked man and Sierra as his muse Christine Daae. The story is now set forward 10 years -- in 1907 -- at Coney Island in New York where the Phantom is entertaining as a magician. He constructs a new opera house there and persuades his former love Christine to become a big U.S. singing star there.

The Phantom sequel, which cost $15 million to stage in the West End, has had only two weeks of previews after months of delays -- and Andrew’s battle with prostrate cancer.

Jerry Mitchell, who is the creator, director and choreographer of Peepshow starring Holly Madison at Planet Hollywood here, is the choreographer for the new London spectacular. He also will plan the fall premiere of Love Never Dies on Broadway and early next year the Australian production. Jerry will be in Las Vegas for a short visit March 15 through 19 to polish the revamped Peepshow, and we’ll certainly talk with him then about Sierra in London.

Here’s a YouTube video of Andrew at the piano showcasing one of Sierra’s songs at a recent awards show in London.
