It will be an all-star turnout of Las Vegas celebrities with East and West Coast TV personalities when the 37th Annual Daytime Emmys are broadcast for the first time ever here at the Las Vegas Hilton. A tribute to American Bandstand host and legend Dick Clark is one of the many celebrity segments.

Caesars Palace headliner Cher, Paris headliner Barry Manilow, Steve Wynn’s favorite country king Garth Brooks, Flamingo’s Marie Osmond, Ann-Margret, Frankie Avalon, The Spinners, Jay Leno and former American Idol curmudgeon Simon Cowell are among the stars who will be saluting the 80-year-old iconic show and veteran TV personality.

Hosted by Regis Philbin, the June 27 broadcast also features Blue Man Group, Cirque du Soleil, Wayne Newton, Carrot Top and Jubilee! The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime TV production. “Since this is the first time the Daytime Emmys will be based outside New York or L.A., we’re putting together a special that will tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas,” said David McKenzie, the telecast’s executive producer.

Star chef Rick Moonen's Super Green Cuisine Dinner at RM Seafood in Mandalay Bay.

*Maybe because of the outrage and storm of criticism fired at Top Chef Master judge Jay Rayner, Bravo pulled his “less than complimentary” blog about his feud with Mandalay Bay star chef Rick Moonen. Now Bravo has let Rick post a candid rebuttal to Jay’s nasty words. If you follow food and Las Vegas chefs, this is a must-read to clarify the accusations and outline the truth.

Rick is ending all discussion on the feud, having made his statement of facts and defending his seafood sustainability campaign and the assault on Las Vegas as a fine cuisine center. “It’s onwards and upwards from now on,” he said.

2010 Miss America Caressa Cameron meets President Obama.

*It took six months for 2010 Miss America Caressa Cameron’s dream to meet President Obama to come true. When she was crowned here at Planet Hollywood in January, she told me that she was looking forward to meeting him at The White House. This past week, after criss-crossing the country visiting wounded soldiers and veterans, she went to Capitol Hill to speak about the Miss America community service and charity platforms. The highlight was when she took the Children’s Miracle Network champions with her to meet Obama.

*Actress and poker professional Shannon Elizabeth will be the first celebrity to get a tarot card reading in the Executive Monkeys comedy improv show coming to the Palms on Wednesdays starting June 30. Producer Emily Jillette tells me the 80-minute show will use Twitter for the audience to direct the improv comics during its first half. Then in the second half, the celebrity gets the reading and the comics then have to build a sketch around it. Totally new and different!

*Grammy Award-winning rapper, DJ and So So Def Recordings owner Jermaine Dupri, who was a regular DJ at Planet Hollywood’s Prive before it was shuttered, takes over the wheels of steel at Eva Longoria Parker’s Eve in Crystals at MGM’s CityCenter as of Wednesday.
