Strip Scribbles: DJ Pauly D gets tanning bed at Palms (and it’s for rent)

Jersey Shore sensation and Rhode Island star DJ Pauly D is being honored in a unique first for Las Vegas. The reality TV stud is getting his own tanning bed at Sunset Tan in Drift Spa in the Palms, and the public can use it, too. Paul DelVecchio will be at the Palms on Friday for the tanning bed dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The newly named Pauly D bed is available for $50 as part of the GTL package -- that means Gym, Tan & Liquor! Two tanning sessions, a two-day gym pass and a round of 2-for-1 cocktails at Iron Chef Kerry Simon’s lounge opposite the spa are included in the package.

There’s no truth to the rumor that after you experience what Pauly goes through that you’ll sound like him and only want to spin the wheels of steel with a “Yo!”

*Las Vegas nightlife and casino personalities will fight for a good cause when they lace up their gloves to do battle tonight. Fight Club 4 is at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel in support of the cleft charity Smile Train. The nine three-round bouts will be fought by Steve Cyr, John Paul Roberts, Nick Baldwell, Casey Hausman, Ken Long, Ed Oporto, Joe Freidman, Jack Galvin, Chris Hanley, Alan Olvera, Leo Mancuso, Charlie Wetlauffer, Kevin Sweet, Brian Sweet, Anthony Olheiser, Ryan McGinnis, Ryan Langson and Mark “Rhino” Alums, who’ll host his after-fight party at Gold Lounge in Aria. Official after-parties will be at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space and Skybar in the Hard Rock, with entertainment by Paper Dolls.

*Nickelback frontman and guitarist Chad Kroeger enjoyed the sun at Bare Pool Lounge and partied at ’80s Night at Jet in The Mirage. Season 3 Tool Academy winners Jacob Neander and girlfriend Christie also were at Jet. … Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley Enterprises execs watched Viva Elvis in Aria and afterward stopped by Gold Lounge. … Singer Kevin Rudolf played his electric guitar for partygoers at Haze in Aria. … Fresh from his victory over Chuck Liddell in UFC 115, Rich Franklin partied at Blush in the Wynn alongside America’s Best Dance Crew Season 2 champions Super Cr3w … Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet watched Jersey Boys in the Palazzo last night and afterward went backstage to say hello to his friend Travis Cloer, who portrays Frankie Valli. … Christopher Gatdula and Phi Nguyen of Jabbawockeez partied at Moon in the Palms.

*Members of MTV’s The Buried Life filmed scenes for their second season at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel. Wasted Space was busy with Pepper’s after-party and XFANZ celebrations with adult film stars Teagan Presley and Sunny Leone. Also there from the XXX world: Ron Jeremy, Andy San Dimas, Lisa Ann, Kagney Linn Karter, Sarah Sloane, Brynn Tyler and Jenny Hendrix. Pro poker player Chris Ferguson celebrated his poker friend Katie Lindsay’s birthday party at Wasted Space and watched Oh No Not Stereo perform. Singer Eva Misle partied with friends at Vanity. Lil’ Jon played Rehab DJ for two hours to celebrate his Crunk Rock album release party. The Hills heartthrob Brody Jenner partied in the DJ booth with Lil’ Jon after hosting the previous night at Vanity, where Lenny Kravitz was spotted in the crowd. NFL free agent Melvin Fowler also hung out with Lil’ Jon in the booth. Lil’ Jon and Nicky Hilton crossed paths at Pink Taco. Comedians Denis Leary, Lenny Clarke and Ken Rogerson had food sent to their HRH Beach Club cabana the day after their stop in The Joint. Toronto Raptors’ Marcus Banks partied in a VIP booth at Vanity, and The Black Diamond Riders rocked Wasted Space.

*Master illusionist Siegfried Fischbacher took his protege Darren Romeo and The Magic Castle chief executive Irene Larson to see Peepshow in Planet Hollywood. … Jabbawockeez watched Mystere at Treasure Island and went backstage afterward to meet the cast. … UFC President Dana White stuck to his usual filet and creamed corn for dinner at N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms. … Actress Libby Mintz (Fired Up!, Sydney White) had a jam-packed bachelorette party weekend for her future sister-in-law. They stayed at the Wynn, dined at Nobu in the Hard Rock Hotel and then went to Surrender in Encore and had a cabana there Friday night. Saturday was spa day at the Wynn, dinner at Stack and then Love at The Mirage, followed by a VIP table at LAX and Noir Bar in the Luxor.

*New recording artist Mike Posner wowed fans with energy-packed performances at Blush and Surrender. Fans screamed as they rushed him, so he jumped atop the Blush bar to sing “Cooler Than Me. The crowd at the new Encore hotspot mobbed him, too, so he performed from a dancer’s platform next to the owner’s table. Mark Boals, Oscar-winning screenwriter for The Hurt Locker, also was at Surrender.

Hanging With Mr. Cooper star Mark Curry headlines at the Las Vegas Hilton for five nights, while the Don’t Stop Believing tribute to Journey also is at the Hilton. … DMC of Run DMC is at LAX, and Doug E Fresh is at Eve in MGM CityCenter’s Crystals.
