The richest of rubies and the best of baubles, bangles and beads. The most dizzying diamonds in the world. Million$ in jewels and the ultimate bling are under the tightest security here in Las Vegas this weekend as the giant jewelry convention JCK sparkles through Monday.

Recent economic optimism and a rise in consumer confidence have prompted global jewelry retailers to attend this year’s JCK events at The Sands Expo in The Venetian in a big way. More than 2,500 international suppliers from 22 countries have brought their most sensational goods to the Strip.

Ivanka Trump presented her 2010 Fine Jewelry Collection this year for the first time here in an exclusive Chairman Villa at the Palazzo. Ivanka’s collection rocks tradition with a modern twist on jewelry’s most desirable classics from the 1920s to the ’60s. It’s her vision of heirloom-chic jewelry that fits perfectly into the lives of today’s women. Some 65 styles complement her 100 pieces in platinum, 18k white, yellow and rose gold, featuring diamonds, onyx, black spinel, agate, pearls and rock crystals. Among the new pieces are more than 20 new styles for $550 to $8,000.
