Actress and singer Angelica Bridges departs Fantasy at the Luxor this weekend after a headlining stint that began in October. Senior Editor John Katsilometes has been following the now-official exit by Bridges, confirmed in his The Kats Report on the Las Vegas Sun last night, and the arrival of Lorena Peril, who was with Sin City Bad Girls at the Las Vegas Hilton until a few weeks ago.
Producer Anita Mann of Anita Mann Productions, which produces Fantasy, said of Bridges this afternoon: “I already miss her. She is absolutely a lovely, lovely human being, and I have nothing negative to say about her. She has enriched my life. Angelica is a smart and beautiful woman and a wonderful mother. This situation is just her moving on.”
Mann has known Peril for five years and is excited about what she brings to Fantasy.
“Lorena brings unbelievable talent to Fantasy. She brings that talent anywhere she goes. She is an amazing talent. My jaw drops every time I see her perform. I’ve known her for five years, in fact, the first week she came to Las Vegas. When she auditioned for Fantasy, I wasn’t looking for a lead singer. I had Stephanie Dianna. I was looking only for a swing singer.
“I wasn’t looking to replace Stephanie. It was Lorena’s first audition, and I told her, ‘You’re just amazing. Please stay in touch.’ She always has. I told her, ‘If you’re ever out of a job, let me know, and that happened a few weeks ago. We’ve had only three lead singers in the 11 years of the show.”
There is a lot of competition for Mann and Fantasy on the Las Vegas Strip, but she remains enthused about the decade-old topless burlesque.

“I’m really proud of and would defend and stand behind the women of Fantasy, who are the most beautiful and most talented dancers. The show isn’t just about being sexy. It’s a show for couples. We do a night of entertainment. It’s about entertaining and having a great time.”
Check back to Vegas DeLuxe later this week for more with Mann, a chat with Peril and a new photo gallery of the Fantasy cast with Peril at the Luxor.
