Strip Scribbles: Mob Museum lands $500,000 grant from commission

The Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial approved a $500,000 grant to the Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, aka The Mob Museum, this week. Funds for the commission, a nonprofit organization, are generated through the sale of Centennial license plates, and the historic Federal Courthouse and Post Office under renovation to house The Mob Museum is a legacy project of the commission. Condolences to Rich Little on the death of his wife Marie

Vegas DeLuxe sends our sincerest condolences to legendary comedian Rich Little on the passing of his wife, Marie Morotta Little. Tony Lofaro of The Ottawa Citizen reports that Marie was found dead yesterday in the bedroom of their home here in Las Vegas. Hotel mogul Steve Wynn has purchased one of the largest penthouses at New York’s Plaza Hotel after a previous owner backed out of a contract to buy the residence.
