When guests relax at the new Oleksandra Spa in Treasure Island, they can thank the hotel owner’s glamorous wife for her treks around the world to find the unique health benefits and invigorating therapeutic services she’s brought to Las Vegas.

For Oleksandra Ruffin, it’s all about treatments, massages and products that have proven abilities to help the mind, body and spirit. It’s far more than a just world-class facility for relaxation and pampering.

The spa, named after and designed by Oleksandra Nikolayenko Ruffin, the wife of Treasure Island owner Phil Ruffin, offers treatments handpicked by her to reflect her philosophy on health and beauty. She’s traveled to the most luxurious spas in Paris, Sri Lanka, London and the Maldives in the Indian Ocean.

Oleksandra said: “An exceptional spa and salon enhances health and well-being. My philosophy is simple: Provide therapies with recognizable results and wellness benefits and products with pure ingredients in a relaxing, immaculate environment. I want our guests to feel enveloped by beauty and wellness and retain that feeling well after they return home.”

She even added her favorite treatments to the spa offerings, including:

*Banya: a wetter, more humid sauna experience. As you relax in the heat, a therapist ladles water on hot rocks to add moisture to the air and waves a bundle of dried leaves in the air to release natural oils that help rejuvenate the skin. The therapist then strokes, brushes and taps your body with the leaf bundle to improve circulation. The heat induces sweating, removing toxins from the body, opening pores and softening skin.

*Pressotherapy: A specially designed suit produces a wave of pressure like two hands gently massaging the body and limbs simultaneously. Pressotherapy helps the body detoxify and improves oxygen levels in the skin, which helps to slim and redefine the legs, stomach and arms. Its effects are instantly noticeable.

*Intraceuticals Infusion Treatments: This skin care treatment infuses moisture, vitamins and anti-oxidants into the skin, creating luminous age-defying results, with the skin becoming smoother and more refreshed.

The spa offers organic products and massage packages to raise relaxation and pampering to a new level. Oleksandra says she takes pride in the look, feel and cleanliness of her spa. Guests are surrounded with soft, calming colors, nature-inspired mosaics, fresh flowers, comfortable spaces and a spotless environment.

“Only when a room is absolutely clean and everything is in its place can I feel at ease and allow myself to fully relax,” she said. “I want our guests to be completely at ease and enjoy themselves.”

During its grand opening, Oleksandra has lopped 20 percent off all services for Las Vegas residents.
