Motley Crue singer Vince Neil flies out from his Las Vegas hometown today on the inaugural flight of his new charter jet service he will headquarter here. Vince and wife Lia, who celebrated their fifth anniversary over the weekend in the Palms, travel to the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean.
However, it’s not a vacation for Vince. Even though the sunny beaches beckon, it will be around-the-clock work for the frontman. First up tomorrow, he will launch his Tres Rios Tequila with a two-hour meet-and-greet, followed by a solo show at The Brick House, where his tequila cocktails will be served by Tortuga Rum Co.
On Thursday, Vince will appear at the private beach party for the Cayman Islands Tourist board, the Ritz Carlton and Food & Wine magazine’s Cayman Cookout promotion of his Tres Rio cocktails. There’s no time to relax after that, either, because Vince performs again solo at the Grand Cayman Hard Rock Cafe.
Vince, who is amid recording his first solo album in 10 years, has a special bond with Mexico, where he traveled to find the high-quality tequila from Agave that inspired his Tres Rios Tequila. His Caribbean distributor Tortuga Rum Co. has been the largest duty-free and retail liquor business in the Cayman Islands since 1984.
Vince will return here in his plane, and Vince Neil Aviation starts offering flight services to New York, Europe and south of the border. The company will operate a Learjet 35, a Hawker 700 and one additional jet. He’ll also use them for his February tour of South America that we reported earlier.
