Enthusiastic fans and show-goers turned up in full force last night for Bette Midler’s book signing after her performance of The Showgirl Must Go On in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The Divine Miss M and self-described People’s Diva hosted a public meet-and-greet to autograph copies of her bestselling children’s book The Saga of Baby Divine, and our contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on hand at The Colosseum entrance after The Showgirl Must Go On for our first and fast photo gallery.

The book is the fairytale story of an inquisitive baby who sets out into the world to discover many of life’s truths. If you missed seeing Bette last night, you can purchase a copy of her book in her boutique next door to the theater.

Bette plays The Colosseum through the end of this month, which will end her three-year contract of 200 performances there. There are initial rumblings that she might return with more of a solo concert-styled show at Steve Wynn’s Encore Theater in a similar vein to current resident star Garth Brooks.

It was Bette who was a guest of Steve’s at the theater when Garth was singing there to test it out, and she told the hotel mogul that he not only had to book the country superstar to sing there, but she would, too!

Criss Angel survives 'the most dangerous and frightening thing I’ve ever done in my life'

June 18, 2013 • 2:25 p.m.

For 10 nail-biting minutes, several thousand people stood in total silence and watched magician Criss Angel inch his way, blindfolded, across two steel beams swaying 50 feet in the air. This was no illusion for the “Believe” star. No tricks, nothing hidden, no sleight of hand or wizardry to divert attention. The "Mindfreak" star, who is shooting a new series of one-hour specials for Spike TV, was in full view of the audience members, who stopped shopping at the Fashion Show mall on the Strip.
