For Donny Osmond to grab the winning disco ball trophy on Season 9 of Dancing With the Stars, the Flamingo headliner has to perform some fancy footwork and quick step his way past Mya and Aaron Carter.

The three stars are now the breakaway pack after last night’s second week of celebrity dancing on ABC’s top-rated show. On tonight’s broadcast, the leaders are totally safe, with Mya and Aaron tied at 27 points and Donny right behind with 25.

A clear pattern already has emerged early this season. If viewers follow the judges’ lead, it will be either former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay or ex-supermodel Kathy Ireland who will be sent packing tonight. They are tied in the bottom slot with just 18 points apiece.

Then all the other contestants are bunched together with 19, 20 and 21 points apiece. Our other hometown favorites Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Kelly Osbourne didn’t do well last night, and they have 19 points apiece. Click HERE for our spoiler alert story last night.

If viewers don’t shock and surprise with their votes, they will get to dance another week or two. But both Kelly and Chuck have to overcome nerves and need more confidence to out-dance their rivals.

We’ll be back tonight with our spoiler alert from the results show broadcast. My prediction is that Tom DeLay might just scrape by to keep his oddball routines in place for another week and Kathy will be booted off. It’ll be one of the two.

My other prediction is -- barring injury -- Donny will eventually meet Mya for the finals. His fan base is much larger than Aaron’s; besides, Donny has incredible determination and discipline to grab the gold!
