Peepshow’s newest Peep Diva, sexy knockout Aubrey O’Day, says she’s about to become the Strip’s new favorite wild child! “Vegas has met its match!” she told me. “Buckle up and get ready for a ride no one else has ever given you.”

The Danity Kane star admits to being rebellious, and I pointed out the two barcodes of her albums that she has tattooed on her back as proof of that! “You now have the No. 1 bad girl here putting on a show every night, so there is bound to be some trouble. Trouble finds me,” she told me. After all, former Las Vegas porn princess Jenna Jameson is one of her best friends!

You get a sense of Aubrey’s sassy strut when you listen to her recent interview with MTV’s Alexa Chung about her life, dreams, Heart on My Sleeve clothing line and the Vegas stardom that lies just ahead as she joins the Planet Hollywood adult cabaret burlesque. Click HERE for that MTV appearance.

Rehearsals are underway, and costume fittings and publicity photos were completed yesterday. The curtain goes up on her first preview show next Monday, and then her gala premiere is the following Thursday. Something tells me now that she’s joined the Peepshow cast and crew, Aubrey will even be making them sushi rolls that she learned how to create while in Asia. Here’s her YouTube video, which shows the exotic and erotic star appeal of Holly Madison’s new playmate who went topless and bottomless for the March issue of Playboy.

Peepshow creator, director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell hired Aubrey as his third rotating celebrity guest Peep Diva, following in the high heels of Spice Girl Mel B and Broadway actress Shoshana Bean. Aubrey and Jerry worked together during her run on Broadway as Amber Von Tussle in his production of Hairspray last July at the Neil Simon Theater in New York.

I chatted with Aubrey shortly after she’d driven herself here from L.A. She’d just finished unpacking nine suitcases for her 90-day stay, including one entirely of photo frames of family, friends and pets to make her Planet Hollywood suite feel like home.

Aubrey told me: “It is amazing being here. I’m in Vegas, the city of sin, and I think I make a scene wherever I go. I’m going to get in a lot of trouble -- good trouble, not bad trouble. I’ve set up all my picture frames so I am surrounded by friends and family to keep me grounded. I have turned my Planet Hollywood suite into my little condo for the next three months.”

Aubrey talked to me about her rehearsals that are underway and going well: “I am a strong singer and dancer. The producers have switched some things around, so I am doing the very sexy teddy bear number now. I’ve learned the brick house number, but I sing that and leave the dancing of it to others. I’m actually taking on more than the previous Peep Divas had. I hadn’t met Holly before I arrived here on the day she got a year’s renewal on her contract, so that was a good omen and very exciting news.”

Solely for our readers, I had to ask: “So my question is for a lady that has bared all in Playboy, do we get to see you bare it all in Peepshow? Gotta give it to Aubrey, she was ready with a fast, smart-mouthed comeback: “Oh, Robin, I am going to give you the textbook response to that. You are going to have to come see the show!” I pushed harder: “So you aren’t going to deny the possibility?” Her retort, which provides a good hint of the excitement to come: “This is Vegas. I would never deny any possibility!”

Aubrey continued: “I was really excited about being hired for this. I’d already seen it. It is a great mix of talent and pure sexuality done in such an old school burlesque way, I don’t think there is anything else like it that I have seen, so I am excited to be a part of it. The Peep Diva teaches a few things to the young girl waking and exploring her sexuality. I am definitely very comfortable with my sexuality and very comfortable with exploring it and explaining it, so I think I am the perfect woman for this role as a teacher!”

Aubrey has made headlines about her sexuality, with media speculating about her male and female friends and lovers, and I wondered if we’d see her in Vegas with anybody special. I asked if she was still keeping her sexual identity a secret. She told me: “I guess to everyone the summary of my explanation is a mystery. I haven’t found what’s right, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you if I like guys or girls more. I am trying to find what’s right. I’m still looking, but I hope I’ll find it eventually. If it’s a white picket fence in the traditional sense, so be it. Absolutely.”

She agrees that the Danity Kane barcodes from the two platinum albums tattooed on the back of her neck are just one of the outrageous things she’s done in her life. Said Aubrey: “I think I have always wanted a tattoo, but I never had anything in my life that was meaningful enough to take it back or something that would always be a part of me. … I had the two platinum albums. I was so incredibly proud of those and would never take them back. You’re going to see a lot of other stuff, Robin, but you won’t see those because they are covered up by my hair. I have two other tattoos: One is on my wrist, and one is on my finger.

“I am complex. I am a girl that is absolutely out of the box. I don’t do anything I have been told to do. I try not to. Anything but typical and ordinary. I try anything and everything that has come to me in life. I feel that through experience and exploring, you will become a more interesting person. I would say my goal at the end of the day is to be the most interesting person I am capable of being. I’m a rebel with a cause, not without!

“I’ve played Vegas before both as an opening act and on a headline tour. But this will be my solo premiere. I am excited! I think it will be a fun opportunity, and, like I said, I love the show. I can’t wait to see my mug up on all of the billboards in Vegas; I think it will be fun, and the new costumes are fantastic.

“I was brought into the show changing a lot of the stuff that has been done with my character prior. I think that the Peep Diva is such an open role, meaning you can come in and give it your own personality, and everybody is a little different. Mel B was different from Shoshana, and mine will be different from both of theirs. I have different costumes, hair and makeup to express my journey with the role.

“You have seen nothing yet! I am definitely taking the role to new places. Mel B came in as an extremely strong dancer, and Shoshana as a strong singer, and I am coming in doing both in a strong way, so I think they have taken that talent to a new level and built my part to include more numbers. I don’t think that Mel or Shoshana ever removed all their clothes for Playboy, so that’s something of an asset for me.

“I love everything that’s happening with me right now, and I love being in Vegas. I think it is open, and in a way this city is just like me. It is rebellious. It is full of exploration. Both of us are feisty, one and the same. Permission to misbehave is granted, as they say.

“I don’t go into anything I do hoping that something will happen because of it. I live in the moment. When I was in Danity Kane, I lived for the two platinum albums. When I was on Broadway, I lived for being Amber … and Playboy, I lived for that, and now I am with Peepshow. I am expanding another experience in life.”

After all the controversies with P.Diddy in MTV’s Making of the Band in which Aubrey was fired, rehired and became the standout star, I wondered if the rap mogul came to Peepshow, would he get a warm welcome from Aubrey?

She laughed: “I might get him onstage, handcuff him to the bed and have Holly pour the pink paint over him. Sure, I would love for him to come to the show. He did not get to see me on Broadway, so, Robin, get him to come to this!”

We’ll report on Aubrey’s debut and official premiere next week. Imagine the fireworks and explosions Aubrey and Holly will set off starting next week! It’s true, as Aubrey said, the Strip has seen nothing yet!
