Mr. Las Vegas opened his six-month run of Once Before I Go at the Tropicana last night, and the first night of previews went off without a hitch. The grand opening is set for Oct. 28, and Wayne’s show is a celebration of his incredible 50 years as the reigning king of Las Vegas show business. My friend comedy impressionist Rich Natole opened for Wayne last night.
Once Before I Go is an intimate journey through a life spent onstage, from a 15-year-old just off the bus to his place as one of America’s most celebrated entertainment icons. It’s the life story of Wayne told by the man who is living it. It’s a rare opportunity to experience his career through his own eyes, and no other performer has seen 50 years performing for more than 40 million from center stage in the ever-changing Las Vegas. It’s probable nobody else ever will.
Click HERE for our recent one-on-one interview with the legendary entertainer about his new -- and probably final -- show. Wayne is using state-of-the-art technology, plus the latest in photos and videos, to tell his half-century journey, many of which have never been seen.
