It was not supposed to end like this! Our Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond had hoped and planned to appear in next week’s finals of Dancing With the Stars and go on to win the prized mirror disco ball trophy in Season 9.

But after last night’s semifinals -- click HERE for our full dance-by-dance, vote-by vote coverage -- the Strip entertainer this morning is fighting for his life. His plans to dance in the finals with partner Kym Johnson appear to have gone up in smoke.

His chief competitor is none other than another Las Vegas favorite, Kelly Osbourne. She scored well in last night’s voting, and it’s all come down to which one viewers will select to get dumped. Donny has a huge fan base that may save the day, but Kelly’s revelations last night, including that her pet dog had died during rehearsals, might win her a massive sympathy vote. She also admitted that she is a recovering drug abuser and turned to them because of her loneliness and that nobody ever liked her. Kelly’s combined candor could give her the winning edge.

We’ll have the official ABC photos from last night’s telecast, as captured by Adam Larkey, later this morning. Here are the judges’ scores from last night going into tonight’s results show: Firmly in first place is singer Mya with partner Dmitry Chaplin with 87 out of 90; model Joanna Krupa is in second place with our former Las Vegas resident Derek Hough with 81; Kelly is in third with Louis Van Amstel with 78; and at the bottom are Donny and partner Kym Johnson with 74.

The major surprise tonight is if Donny gets enough viewer votes to leap past Kelly and Joanna, and either one of them is KO’d based on viewer votes. If Donny is KO’d, then next Monday night’s finals comes down to two Las Vegas favorites, Kelly and Derek, dancing against Mya, who now seems to have the field to herself.
