Caesars Palace is getting buzz from The Hangover

As the riotous summer hit comedy The Hangover heads toward the $200 million box office mark, it has sparked somewhat of a boon for Caesars Palace, where many of the scenes were filmed.

One executive there told me: “We have received many requests to book the suite in the movie: No. 2462. That’s actually a suite we used in the Augustus Tower, but the suite in the movie is a combination of the Rain Man and Emperor’s suites. It’s all caused quite a definite buzz with employees on the property who are being asked every question under the sun from guests who have seen the film.

“We have to tell them there was no tiger installed in the actual hotel filming -- or was there? We haven’t seen Mike Tyson, who is featured in the movie prominently, since the filming.”

The film, about a bachelor party gone wild, stars 2009 ShoWest Comedy Star of the Year Bradley Cooper, who also was just named one of Summer’s Hottest Bachelors by People magazine, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis.

“We are so excited it became such a giant hit and is still going strong. We launched our social networking platforms on Facebook and Twitter the week before the release, and we already have … over 2,500 Facebook friends, more than any other Las Vegas property! We also launched a win-a-trip contest on Facebook and Twitter in cooperation with Warner Bros., and that’s been well received, too.”
