Rising rockers Theory of Flight, who are based here in Las Vegas, shoot their first music video “Set the Night on Fire” today and are looking for fans to be extras in the filming. So from 3:30 to 10 p.m. today out at Lake Mead, the band wants girls in cut-off jeans, tank tops, flip flops and jean skirts -- “fun in the sun” attire -- and guys in board shorts and T-shirts but no tank tops. Khaki and camp shorts are OK, but recognizable logos are a no-no!
If you miss the video shoot, you can catch them Wednesday at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay for the second part. Fleetwood Mac, Chris Isaak and The Killers producer Mark Needham is working on their debut album Within Reach.
