Rock drummer Matt Sorum is happy taking a back seat to the musical talents of his four sexy song and dance girls the Darling Stilettos. He’s begun a series of showcase performances in Las Vegas hoping to land a resident gig for the Darling Stilettos.

Matt’s rock and roll show with guitarist Nick Perri attracted packed houses for two consecutive nights at The Lounge in the Palms as the femmes fatales took the audience through the journey of classic early rock.

Matt, who has been dating Darling Stilettos singer Ace Harper for nearly five years, discussed his hopes and plans for the band in a story we posted last week. The Darling Stilettos will showcase next at the Las Vegas Hilton during the first week of the New Year.

Palms Entertainment Vice President Michael Greco told me: “The reaction to them was tremendous. Everybody’s in love with them already. Now we’re trying to find the right venue here at the Palms to have them appearing on a regular basis.”
