For a moment, you might do a double take and ask, “Who is that fabulous glamour girl?” on the first cover of the all-new look of our sister publication Las Vegas Magazine. You can find my weekly Luxe Life column in there, too!
Behind the makeup wizardry for the cover cutie is Peepshow star Holly Madison, also with her whole new look. Holly and her Planet Hollywood show cast mates were among a large group of Strip entertainers who performed in Saturday’s “Las Vegas Celebrates the Music of Michael Jackson” tribute concert at The Pearl in the Palms -- click HERE for our coverage.

*The MAGIC men’s fashion marketplace is underway here today, and Tao in The Venetian is featuring Will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas as guest DJ for the official opening night party. This MAGIC has nothing to do with Lance Burton or Criss Angel. This is a super-show of apparel that’s been going strong for 70 years. Our hotels are booked with famous fashion designers all attending the convention and unveiling fashion lines for the year ahead. Tomorrow, Rain hosts the official Street of MAGIC party, and DJ Samantha Ronson takes charge at Lavo for the official opening night party for PROJECT. At Body English, rap royal Busta Rhymes entertains with Super Cr3w for the new fashion collection from Billionaire Mafia being unveiled tomorrow.

Action hero Sylvester Stallone celebrated his daughter Sophia’s 13th birthday with a trip to Las Vegas. Wife Jennifer Stallone and their other daughters Sistine and Scarlett came along for the ride. They stayed at Planet Hollywood, where they dined with British TV star Piers Morgan, now of Paris Hilton wedding fame, at Koi after watching the Cirque du Soleil Beatles musical Love at The Mirage. … Comedy queen Joan Rivers and daughter Melissa with her boyfriend and children dined at First Food & Bar in the Palazzo before Joan went off to her Venetian show and Melissa went to see Blue Man Group. Chuck star Ryan McPartlin celebrated a friend’s bachelor party at First later that night and ordered a round of Chef Sammy D’s signature doughnuts for everybody! Also at Blue Man was actor Andrew Keegan and singer Keyshia Cole and boyfriend Daniel Gibson of the Cleveland Cavaliers. … Our hometown hero Frank Marino, who’ll impersonate Joan Rivers when he emcees his new show at the Imperial Palace over Labor Day weekend, was backstage to say hello to his former adversary. … What Happens in Vegas star Jason Sudeikis was back in town and after a bachelor party in Strip House moved right next door with all the boys for Holly Madison’s Peepshow. … Zany comic Carrot Top was with a female friend at Society Cafe in Encore enjoying the Raging Cajun Mary drinks from the special Bloody Mary menu. … Howard Stern shock jock sidekick Gary “Baba Booey” Dell’Abate was with N9NE friends appropriately at N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms and ordered rock shrimp, calamari and scallops. A table away was Arizona Diamondbacks’ outfielder Eric Byrnes, who added steak to his lobster for his main course and was alongside Barry Bonds, who stopped in for cappuccino and creme brulee. His daughter was hungrier, so executive chef Barry Dakake created a special pasta dish. … Up in Moon, pro skateboard champion Adam Dyet and free agent Levi Jones enjoyed Patron shots. … Baseball greats Greg Maddux and Roger Clemens were joined by Harrah’s honcho Don Marrandino, who leaves town this week for new executive responsibilities in Atlantic City, backstage at country singer’s Toby Keith concert at Red Rock Resort.

Slimmed-down showman Jeff Beacher is the big-time attraction at Jet in The Mirage as his Beacher’s Madhouse returns to Las Vegas. Alvin & the Chipmunks are set for a appearance, and if Paris Hilton is still here celebrating her “honeymoon,” she’ll dance along with the insanity. … Brad Williams and Michael Somerville star on the Comedy Stop stage at the Sahara’s legendary Congo Room through Sunday. … Finally, did you know today is the 60th anniversary of the 45 rpm record? To celebrate, five deejays will spin their favorites at LAX in the Luxor.
