In a rare interview, Caesars Palace superstar headliner Cher has revealed some secrets about her life away from The Colosseum stage when she’s living here in Las Vegas. She says she’s never been a gambler, so we’re not likely to run into her at the slot machines or blackjack tables, but she admits that she’s been to the gun range for target practice using automatic rifles and a 9mm pistol!
Cher also says we will find her on the tennis court taking lessons or hiking in the Red Rock Canyon trails where she sings along with Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger and Hall & Oates on her iPod!
In an interview for Caesars Player magazine, Cher confirms our earlier story that she will act opposite Christina Aguilera in the movie remake Burlesque after she’s filmed The Drop-Out with Johnny Knoxville, a comedy about a college student who moves in Cher’s character in the older woman-younger man story.

Cher even admits that she’s planned out her life after the Caesars Palace run ends in 2011. It will include a new album.
She says: “When people ask ‘how long are you going to do this?’ my answer is, ‘That’s like saying to Picasso when are you going to stop painting -- you’ve painted enough. You always have things to accomplish. Pursuing your dreams is as important as having them. I’m sure I’m not going to fade away. I don’t know if I want to be in Montana raising horses, but I want to be doing something -- something physical as I pop off.”
Cher returns to The Colosseum on Sept. 19 with a run through Oct. 11 and again on Nov. 19 with a run through Dec. 20.
