Toni Braxton and Alec Mazo hope to be stayin' alive on DWTS.

Contestants on ABC’s hit show Dancing with the Stars were given just four days to learn and practice their paso doble and rumba routines last night (Monday). Former Vegas headliner Toni Braxton scored 23 out of a possible 30 with her partner, Alec Mazo, who proved he’s no singer when he joined Toni for a surprise duet before the rumba. Lance Bass had trouble with his paso doble with partner Lacy Schwimmer and only scored 20 out of 30. It was even worse for Kim Kardashian’s rumba with Mark Ballas, even though she’d taken lessons from our Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin on how to add “sexy to the dances.” Kim scored just 17 out of 30 which means she’s on the firing line.

Kim has been blogging about the wardrobe and hair challenges she faces for each routine. Her hairstyle was changed last minute because producers wanted to see more of her face instead of it flapping in it.

They even cut off the ruffles from her dress so more leg was showing. She said: “I have to be honest—it is so hard! Standing there for two hours in complete suspense really drained me! I’ve watched our performances on Tivo and the judges are right. I really need to loosen up and not think so much about the steps as they are happening. I just have to have more fun with it! This show is so much more difficult than I expected! I hope I get another opportunity to dance again. I am not ready to go home. I have so much more to learn! I am doing this show to break my own shyness shell, and little by little it really is working. It's all about progress! I really am going to take what the judges say to heart and learn from their advice ... if I make it to next week!

We’ll know tonight (Tuesday) on the live results show if Kim stays and celebrity chef Rocco Dispirito, who only scored 16, or 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman, who only scored 15, get tossed. Toni and Lance look definitely safe to move on for another week! It’s now up to the fans telephoning in their votes to make the final determination.

Criss Angel survives 'the most dangerous and frightening thing I’ve ever done in my life'

June 18, 2013 • 2:25 p.m.

For 10 nail-biting minutes, several thousand people stood in total silence and watched magician Criss Angel inch his way, blindfolded, across two steel beams swaying 50 feet in the air. This was no illusion for the “Believe” star. No tricks, nothing hidden, no sleight of hand or wizardry to divert attention. The "Mindfreak" star, who is shooting a new series of one-hour specials for Spike TV, was in full view of the audience members, who stopped shopping at the Fashion Show mall on the Strip.
