For the first time in the Miss America Organization’s history, several exclusive items and experiences are being listed on the auction site eBay via its dedicated charity program Giving Works. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Miss America Scholarship Fund.
From now through next Tuesday night, you can bid on some incredible VIP, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and exclusive items by visiting www.ebay.com/missamerica.
Here’s what caught my eye: Rock Out With Miss America! A one-of-a-kind, custom Peavey Signature electric guitar, made exclusively in gold for the Miss America Organization with the signatures of 70 Miss Americas. For the first time ever, the Miss America Organization will auction off four VIP seats to the 2009 Miss America Pageant here at Planet Hollywood and broadcast live Jan. 24 on TLC. These premium, front-row seats have never been available to the public and also are for the three preliminary nights of competition (Jan. 20-22 at 8 p.m.)
Another auction package will permit the winning bidder to go behind the scenes at Miss America, which includes a meet-and-greet with all the 2009 Miss America contestants and Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund, plus access to our private press conference that introduces the new Miss America 2009. This has never before been open to the public.
Finally, two ultimate prizes: “An Evening With Miss America!” During her year of touring the United States, the winning bidder and a guest may have dinner with Miss America 2009 in any city as her schedule permits. Then during the final week of competition here in Vegas, the winner and a guest will have lunch with at least two former Miss Americas!
