Hotel tycoon Steve Wynn, who single-handedly carved the skyline of Las Vegas as we know it today, looks to the future of our city with a combination of confidence and some uncertainty. He’ll officially open his new Encore resort casino at 8 p.m. on Monday.

Yesterday, in an exclusive one-on-one and first Vegas DeLuxe video interview in his new Sinatra restaurant at Encore, Steve told me, “This is the best hotel ever.” Click HERE for our first word on that from last night.

Here is the entire video interview. Please be patient and note that because the interview is nearly 40 minutes, your download time will be longer than normal.

On Monday morning, I’ll get an advance tour of the resort’s incredible, new, multimillion-dollar, luxurious nightclub XS -- and it really is excessive and over-the-top in every way you could possibly imagine. We’ll post that video and photos of the entire resort right here on Monday before the official 8 p.m. opening to the public.

You’ll hear for yourself on our video what Steve told me about Victor Drai’s new XS nightclub: “You’ve never seen anything like it. There’s a pool, there’s a restaurant, and there’s the nightclub all in one with a fabulous bar right in the middle of everything. Our party will now start in the middle of the afternoon and continue on until 5 a.m. It’s the only one of its kind in the world.”
